Mario is an IT Project Manager at Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, where he is responsible for redesigning regulatory reporting systems and processes. Earlier in his career, Mario worked as a consultant on various financial and automotive projects, including regulatory compliance initiatives such as MiFID II.

Wolfgang joined flatexDEGIRO in 2022 as Regulatory Reporting Lead and changed his role from 2025 onwards to heading the Regulatory Affairs function. His broad skillset results from over 25 years of professional experience in the environment of regulatory topics. Starting after his Bundesbank studies in Consulting, he worked at Aareal Bank from 2003 onwards on different regulatory projects.

Nils Gerstengarbe embarked on his Regulatory Reporting journey back in 2002, contributing to the Basel II implementation project at the former Dresdner Bank. Presently, he holds the position of Director in Regulatory Reporting within Group Finance.
Besides leading the IReF implementation project for Commerzbank, he was elected Chairman of the Reporting Contact Group, which is a subgroup of the Joint Banks Reporting Committee that was set up by the ECB and EBA in 2024. Thomas Haeske is a Berlin-based IT manager and site director. After graduating in business informatics from TU Dresden, he started his career in the organization department of Landesbank Berlin before joining Berlin Hyp AG in 1998. He spent over twelve years as CIO, overseeing multiple successful projects, especially in the SAP environment and bank organization. In 2013, he took over as head of information technology. Since the merger with LBBW in 2025, he has managed the Berlin IT location as part of the group IT.

Michael J. Hsu served as Acting Comptroller of the Currency from May 2021 to February 2025. Dr. Suzanne Morsfield is CFO for Lukka, a global software and data company serving institutions and governments engaged with crypto assets. Virginie O’Shea is a capital markets fintech research specialist, with two decades of experience in tracking financial technology developments in the sector, with a particular focus on regulatory developments, data and standards. She is the founder of Firebrand Research, a new research and advisory firm focused on providing capital markets technology and operations insights for the digital age.
Most recently, she was a research director with Aite Group, heading up the Institutional Securities & Investments practice and covering data management, collateral management, legal entity onboarding, and post-trade technology. In this role she spearheaded strategy for the practice and managed a team of analysts across the globe.
Ms. O’Shea has spoken at industry conferences including Sibos, TradeTech, FISD events, and The Network Forum, and is actively engaged in a number of post-trade industry standards groups.

Simon O’Connor is the senior technical product owner for the specialist xBRL team at Central bank of Ireland, with responsibility for regulatory data collections, analysis and dissemination. The Central Bank of Ireland has a broad regulatory mandate including banking, insurance, markets, resolution and payment services. Working closely with supervisors and policy experts, Simon has deep experience of regulatory framework implementation and structured data exchange at a national and supranational level. He has represented CBI at related international technical fora and working groups for many years and is a board member of the Eurofiling foundation.

Giancarlo started his carrier at Ernst & Young as external auditor. Then he joined the Belgian banking and insurance supervisor, where he was responsible for compliance, reporting and XBRL. He was member of various committees within EBA, Basel Committee, EIOPA, IAIS, IOSCO and IASCF.
After, he joined Dexia Group, as Head of Prudential Policy, where he had responsibility for Pillar I impacts and financial, regulatory reporting and for lobby. Later Giancarlo joined BNY Mellon in Belgium, as Managing Director. He was mainly responsible for consolidation and IFRS accounts, supervisory reporting, and management reporting.
Giancarlo is now working at the ECB, as Head of the Banking Supervision Data Division. The division develops, collects, controls and disseminates within ECB and to EBA, ESRB and other stakeholders all supervisory reports. It also controls the data quality of reports from all supervised banking institutions, provides an assessment included in the SREP and ensure enforcement of these reporting requirements. Finally, it produces derived statistics and indicators for quantitative risk assessment and also public supervisory statistics.

Asier is an Adviser in the ECB Programme Office on the Integrated Reporting Framework (IReF), where he coordinates the activities of the teams responsible for the development of the IReF business processes and acts as an IT implementation counterpart. Until the establishment of the Programme Office, Asier worked on IReF-related topics from 2020 and, prior to that, on securities statistics and micro databases in the ECB Directorate General Statistics since 2009.
Before that, he worked as a Financial Controller at Iberdrola. He holds a degree in Business Administration with Finance from Comillas Pontifical University and one in Law from Deusto University.

Maciej Piechocki, as the Chief Revenue Officer, is responsible for Sales, Sales Operations and Account Management, and is driving the international market development for Regnology’s solutions. He has been specializing in the areas of technology and regulation, particularly in the financial services sector, and has been working with banks, insurance companies, central banks, and federal authorities across the globe.

Lavinia Ponniah is the MiFID ARM Product Lead, a strategic initiative within the Repository and Derivatives Services business at DTCC. Lavinia also leads the SFTR book of work impacting the Global Trade Repository service. Lavinia previously led the EMIR REFIT implementation at DTCC. Prior to DTCC, Lavinia held various derivatives and regulatory positions at Macquarie Bank and UBS.
She has over 20 years industry experience and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a Master of Business in Finance from the University of Technology, Australia.

Sam Prestidge is the ISSB Technical Staff Strategy Lead and is in his tenth year with the IFRS Foundation. Sam oversees the ISSB’s technical engagement with jurisdictions on interoperability, including with the European Union.
Previously Sam supported the work of the IFRS Foundation Trustees in their project on sustainability-related reporting in establishing the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
Prior to the IFRS Foundation, Sam worked in the secretariat of the European Parliament on the impact assessment of market and environmental policy.
He holds a Master’s Degree in International Social Policy (MA) from the University of Nottingham and an Undergraduate Degree in Law (LLB Hons) from the University of Northumbria.

Volker is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Clearstream Banking AG. In his role in Deutsche Börse Group he is responsible for all Settlement and Issuance IT which includes the regulatory reporting area. During his 25-year-journey within Deutsche Börse Group, Volker took on various management roles including the overall project management for the Target-2 Securities migration for the German and Luxemburgish market as well as Head of Operation at the retail derivatives exchange Scoach.

Annemarie Ronckers is an all-round banking professional with over 25 years of experience. She started her career in Corporate Banking, taking on multiple roles across both the commercial and risk management sides of the bank. Over the past 10 years, Annemarie has been working at Rabobank’s head office, where she has participated in and led regulatory change initiatives such as IFRS 9, Definition of Default, NPL Management, and AnaCredit Reporting.
Since October 2022, she has moved to Finance to lead the Tribe External Reporting. Their ambition is to move from Report Oriented Reporting to Data Driven Reporting, using the Abacus Platform and its data model as a standard.

Alberto is a Managing Director in Ernst & Young’s Technology Consulting practice. Johannes Turner is Director Statistics Department of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB), which is in charge of compiling and analyzing monetary, interest rate, supervisory and external statistics and maintaining the Austrian Central Credit Register.
He is also a member of the Statistics Committee of the ESCB, and a representative in the Committee on Monetary, Financial and Balance of Payments Statistics in Luxembourg (CMFB). Since 2013, Johannes Turner has been representative in the ESF (European Statistical Forum) and from 2019 to 2022, he has been president of the European Committee of the Central Balance-Sheet Data Offices (ECCBSO). He is an Advisory Board Member of Statistics Austria (NSI) and a member of the ERP (European Recovery Programme) Audit Committee. In 2014/2015, he chaired the ECB taskforce for a harmonized reporting framework for banks in Europe and in 2020 the ECB taskforce from micro to macro and from macro to micro statistics.
He was promoted to his current position in June 2010 after having worked on banking supervision at the OeNB for 18 years, ultimately as Head of the Banking Analysis Division from 2008.

Previously, Marco served as the Project Manager for SupTech at the Central Bank of Brazil, where he led initiatives for the adoption, training, and dissemination of new technologies applied to supervision. As the Head of Regulatory Reporting Strategy for FCE, Mark is responsible for the provision of multi-jurisdictional regulatory reporting to Ford Motor Company’s European financial services operations. This includes leading regulatory change programmes, data transformation initiatives, and the management of regulatory reporting platforms. Mark is a CIMA qualified accountant with over 25 years of experience at FCE in a variety of roles across finance, risk management, and treasury.

Prof. Dr. Joachim Wuermeling is an Executive in Residence at ESMT Berlin. He further advises at A&O Shearman, a law firm, in Frankfurt where he focusses on regulatory affairs of financial institutions. Joachim has been a member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Bundesbank between 2011 and 2016. In that capacity Joachim used to be a member of the Supervisiory Board of the ECB, represented Deutsche Bundesbank in the the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and the Financial Stability Board of Germany.
Previously Joachim served as a Member of the European Parliament and Secretary of State in the German Ministry of Economics before he held senior positions in banking and insurance.

Marc Ziegler is Head of Data Management in the Group Financial Services unit at DZ BANK. He brings over 20 years of experience in Data Management and Data Integration, with a particular focus on Finance and Risk topics. His expertise encompasses the implementation of group-wide data warehouses, data harmonization frameworks and advanced analytics solutions, including initiatives supporting BCBS 239 compliance.
Since 2019 he has been Co-Chair of the BIRD Steering Group for the Banking Industry. The BIRD project is a collaborative project of the ESCB and the Banking Industry involving over 30 banks from all over Europe developing and maintaining a "Banks' Integrated Reporting Dictionary".
