Aitor Azcoaga

Aitor Azcoaga has been working at the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) since 2011, coordinating EIOPA’s IT regulatory reporting activities. Víctor Morilla

Johannes Turner is Director Statistics Department of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB), which is in charge of compiling and analyzing monetary, interest rate, supervisory and external statistics and maintaining the Austrian Central Credit Register.
He is also a member of the Statistics Committee of the ESCB, and a representative in the Committee on Monetary, Financial and Balance of Payments Statistics in Luxembourg (CMFB). Since 2013, Johannes Turner has been representative in the ESF (European Statistical Forum) and from 2019 to 2022, he has been president of the European Committee of the Central Balance-Sheet Data Offices (ECCBSO). He is an Advisory Board Member of Statistics Austria (NSI) and a member of the ERP (European Recovery Programme) Audit Committee. In 2014/2015, he chaired the ECB taskforce for a harmonized reporting framework for banks in Europe and in 2020 the ECB taskforce from micro to macro and from macro to micro statistics.

He was promoted to his current position in June 2010 after having worked on banking supervision at the OeNB for 18 years, ultimately as Head of the Banking Analysis Division from 2008.

Annemarie Ronckers

Nils Gerstengarbe embarked on his Regulatory Reporting journey back in 2002, contributing to the Basel II implementation project at the former Dresdner Bank. Over the past two decades, he's amassed extensive expertise in diverse facets of regulatory reporting, having served at Accenture, Dresdner Bank, and Commerzbank. Presently, he holds the position of Director in Regulatory Reporting within Group Finance.

Besides leading the IReF implementation project for Commerzbank, he was elected Chairman of the Reporting Contact Group, which is a subgroup of the Joint Banks Reporting Committee that was set up by the ECB and EBA in 2024. Additionally, he represents Commerzbank in the BIRD Steering Group, actively contributes to the BIRD sub-group on IReF, and is a member of the Core Reporting Group of the European Banking Federation.

Giancarlo Pellizzari

Giancarlo started his carrier at Ernst & Young as external auditor. Then he joined the Belgian banking and insurance supervisor, where he was responsible for compliance, reporting and XBRL. He was member of various committees within EBA, Basel Committee, EIOPA, IAIS, IOSCO and IASCF.

After, he joined Dexia Group, as Head of Prudential Policy, where he had responsibility for Pillar I impacts and financial, regulatory reporting and for lobby. Later Giancarlo joined BNY Mellon in Belgium, as Managing Director. He was mainly responsible for consolidation and IFRS accounts, supervisory reporting, and management reporting.

Giancarlo is now working at the ECB, as Head of the Banking Supervision Data Division. The division develops, collects, controls and disseminates within ECB and to EBA, ESRB and other stakeholders all supervisory reports. It also controls the data quality of reports from all supervised banking institutions, provides an assessment included in the SREP and ensure enforcement of these reporting requirements. Finally, it produces derived statistics and indicators for quantitative risk assessment and also public supervisory statistics.

She is the founder of Firebrand Research, a new research and advisory firm focused on providing capital markets technology and operations insights for the digital age.

Most recently, she was a research director with Aite Group, heading up the Institutional Securities & Investments practice and covering data management, collateral management, legal entity onboarding, and post-trade technology. In this role she spearheaded strategy for the practice and managed a team of analysts across the globe.

Ms. O’Shea has spoken at industry conferences including Sibos, TradeTech, FISD events, and The Network Forum, and is actively engaged in a number of post-trade industry standards groups. 

Prior to Aite Group, she was managing editor of A-Team Group’s flagship publication,A-Team Insight, where she covered financial technology from the front to back office, including trading technology, market data, low latency, risk management, regulatory impacts on IT, and reference data. During her time at the firm, she was heavily involved in planning risk and data management events and creating multimedia offerings, including podcasts, webinars, and video interviews.

Before joining the OECD in 2014, Paul worked as a tax lawyer in Luxembourg, focusing on international financial services taxation, as well as exchange of information matters.

Michal Piechocki

Michal Piechocki serves as a Senior Vice President responsible for Supervisory Technology (SupTech) business at Regnology, a global leader in RegTech, SupTech and Tax reporting. In his role Michal works with central banks, governments, insurance and capital market authorities as well as business registries and international agencies in over 60 countries implementing cutting-edge policies, data and technology strategies and solutions. 

As the Eurofiling Foundation Board Member, he promotes data interoperability and digital regulatory standards in the supervisory, financial, sustainability and statistical space. Mr Piechocki serves also at the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) Technical Committee 68 responsible for financial data standards such as ISO 20022, DPM or LEI. His expertise includes among other the ECB, Bank of England, EBA, EIOPA, ESMA, IFRS Foundation, EFRAG, and Impact Management Project reporting programs. Previously at the IFRS Foundation, Michal contributed to building the IFRS XBRL digital reporting standards and their global adoption.
